When traveling, figuring out who to tip, when to tip, and how much to tip, can be quite the task. After traveling a few places here and there Jim and I have both found that tipping can be confusing, aggravating at times, and often cause you to spend way too much money for a meal than you ever intended. However, we also have found that if you do not tip for a certain service or you under tip, it can be very offensive.
While I was reading World Hum today, a travel blog I love and subscribe to via Google Reader, I read a post that referred to a great tipping guide created by Conde Nast Traveler. It is a nice detailed guide on different countries around the world and it gives you a very good idea of what a culture you are visiting exects. Check out the Etiquette 101: Tipping Guide and even download the PDF Version for travel use.
